BevelUp for SketchUp
Install as a SketchUp extension (SketchUp 2022+). Round selected edges into smooth fillets, or set Segments = 1 for a flat chamfer.
Works on closed and open edge loops, supports vertices where 4+ edges meet, and preserves the original face materials.

Personal vs commercial
BevelUp is free for personal use — personal projects, learning, open-source contributions. No license key needed, full feature set, no seat limit.
Commercial use (studio, architecture firm, paid client work) requires a one-time commercial license. The plugin doesn't tech-enforce this — it's honor-based. Free tier shows a small footer reminder until a license is added; paying customers get a clean UI.
Install
- Download
bevelup.rbz. - In SketchUp: Window → Extension Manager → Install Extension.
- Select the
.rbzfile and accept the signed-extension prompt. - Restart SketchUp. A BevelUp menu item appears under Extensions, plus a one-button toolbar.
Features
- Round or chamfer — set Segments ≥ 2 for a rounded fillet, or Segments = 1 for a flat chamfer. Same tool, one parameter.
- Closed and open edge loops — works on full perimeters (a box edge ring) and on partial chains that stop at the model boundary.
- Vertices with more than 3 edges — handles complex corners where 4+ edges meet at a single point, not just standard 3-edge box corners.
- Preserves materials — face materials on the original geometry carry over to the new filleted faces. No re-painting needed.
System requirements
- SketchUp 2022 or newer (uses
EntitiesBuilderAPI for bulk geometry add). - Windows or macOS.
- No internet required after install (auto-update is opt-in).
